Getting Started

If you’ve ever gone to a social event where you didn’t know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel. Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.

Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. No surprises!

The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.
Your First Visit

New patients often remark how “comfortable and inviting” Carmel Valley Chiropractic is. Our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a friendly, welcoming, and professional setting.

Your first visit will include: a short intake form to fill out upon arrival, then you’ll head back with Dr. Chris to meet with him! With Dr. Chris: a consultation, examination, and ROM test. After you and Dr. Chris have discussed your health history and intentions for care, he’ll be able to make any adjustments that he sees fit!

You’ll find plenty of parking as we are located in a convenient community shopping center off major freeways in San Diego. We are a small office, and we deeply value your tailored care and comfort!

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your first visit with Dr. Chris Elleraas is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a simple examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Your Second Visit

Following up on your initial visit is fantastic to lock in the adjustments made, and ensure your body is responding well. We usually recommend 1-2 more visits to give you the best idea of how your care going forward can look! We typically will suggest a frequency of visits depending on Dr. Chris’ findings and how you respond to treatment, and we offer you full autonomy in scheduling. We won’t ever try to sell you on care that doesn’t suit your needs!

The brevity of a regular visit doesn’t lessen its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly size up what your spine and nervous system need, adjust you and get you on your way.

Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and we can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes.
